New UT3 Bonus 'Titan Pack' Revealed

This is all pretty awesome news, but I'm wondering why so late with this update and bonus pack? What's Epic's aim? Are they going to rerelease UT3 with this stuff and hope it sells better? Are they just trying to repair ties with the community?

Lots of mappers just love making maps in their spare time, so I'm sure a lot of this pack is comprised of that love.

Here's hoping that a BP for the UT series can get released that doesn't overwrite newer files (BP1 overwriting v436 in UT and ECE overwriting 3369 in 2k4).

I hope they QA it properly... in the last bonus pack DM-Morbias had massive invisible ledge, CTF-Searchlight had a broken searchlight, solid blocks of weirdness hovering in the air above the flagrooms, and an invisible ledge/killzone. Them's ain't good odds!

I believe they were, yes. But it didn't instill any confidence in me to find such blatant bugs on two of the three bonus maps after less than 5 minutes of play on each.

Eh. DM-GoopGod had a spot you could fall into the map. I think Angel_Mapper provided a mutator based fix. CTF-LavaGiant][ had BSP holes apparently and never made it into UT2004 despite being in the UT2003 Bonus Pack.

I'd so love to see DarkMatch come back, but I highly doubt it.

I mean, they worked so hard to make everything look like pockmarked clay. What has it been called, "Unreal Goo"?
