Laptop for UT3 on max

Hey, I am getting a laptop from my dad and he needs to know what hardware I need in it.
Like vidcard and stuff, because he knows someone that orders the parts seperatly and then puts them in a laptop, so which specs do I need for UT on max. Thankyou in advance.

PS: Dont go all expensive on me because I just need to know which ones I need to play it on max smoothly, Not like 8 gig ram, quadcore and stuff xD

Best of luck, considering you're limiting yourself to a laptop. You'd need probably a GeForce 8800/9800 of some kind and as fast of a dualcore as the mobo can handle.

Fully justified, given the big performance difference. Problem is, any laptop with an 8800 (or 78/79 series) will a) have rubbish battery life, and b) be big and heavy to adequately cool the things, making the whole idea of a laptop pointless. While I don't think it'll run UT3 on max, an 8600GT should handle UT3 pretty well and will fit nicely into a 14 or 15" laptop.

My Asus laptop has a 8600GSM and I can run UT3 will full settings (1440x980 or whatever it is).

Not a single problem. I'm running vista with 2gb ram and a 2.2ghz Dualcore.
