No, the balance is pretty decent again, and as for tank rushes, in 1.0 it was who could rush to double Tigers or Pershings the quickest. Throughout the game's ****ory it's always been either spam infantry or spam tanks. I suppose it's because Relic either makes tanks decent against infantry, so everyone stops building infantry and focus' on tanks. Then of course Relic makes infantry good against tanks so people will use them, which makes tanks useless and the infantry spam starts all over again. I remember that time when the Allies just spammed infantry (particulary Rangers) and bazookas did sh*t, while the Axis spammed tanks which pawned infantry, and Panzerschreks could kill a Sherman in 2-3 hits and would rarely miss, so it was useless for the allies to built tanks of infantry.
As far as i'm concerned CoH 1.0 or 1.71 was the best, OF killed all manner of balance till the v2.4 balance patch (nearly a year in development), which they killed in 1 week with v2.5, v2.501, and v.2502. Now with v2.600 out things are looking up, i just wish they'd actually test their patches before releasing them, as since OF every patch has either created as many bugs and imbalances as it's fixed, or it's added some game-breaking bugs like the 'burst-fire bug" (most well known from the Puma), or of course the Pak38's camo bonus stacking, after all who wants their Pershings 1 shotted all the time?
