mp5 PDW
I was just wondering, will the MP5 PDW be included in 2.85? From the looks of it, the PDW looks virtually complete.

Come to think of it, they did it with 2.8 and the AKMSU.

And hope is only what one can do...
It would be nice, but I doubt it...Although, BP did mention somthing earlier about a "Special new weapon". I don't know if he was talking about the sig or what. Wouldn't that be kinda cool, IF you were good enough to be able to play with the mp5k as your main gun...Now that would be skill. |

SOCOM ALL THE WAY!
I so want the SOCOM to be added. It would allow me to complete my stealth loadout with a supressed MP5/40, SOCOM, and Kabar. You'll never know what hit you.
For you, the end is near. |

Thats all fine and dandy Darkness...But don't expect to get a lot of kills like that...You would be more of a recon or support member...One that flanks the Enemy, to add the extra advantage to turn the tides of the battle...
OF course, the way online play is now...There is no team work. We need to get some scenarios going of something. |

Even with TDM, I see alot of use for teamwork. Me and my old UT CTF Instagib clan were all abot temwork. And many of those same guys are going to part of my INF clan.
And yeah, that's what I was planning with the stealth loadout. Hopefully be able to take care of some enemy snipers while I take the flank too. For you, the end is near. |

The only thing is that the INF team already have the model of the PDW complete.

/me wants a 18th sentury handgun, now THAT would add character... everybody running around with automatics and 1 guy with 18th century pistols
![]() And don't say they are useless... a single hit would kill 9 out of 10 times since the bullet did not exit nicely rather it would bounce around inside you destroying your vital organs and then leave trough a wound that kind of looked like a fist put trough a piece of paper. Why PDW ?
In what way (gameplay-related) would the PDW differ from the current MP5 ?
The armory doesn't exactly explain the differences between the 3 MP-models (current, PDW and 'Navy' if I recall correctly). The 'Navy'-version doesn't have a 'full-auto'-setting so why add that one ?? Just another size bullet hardly seems worth the effort, since they are about the same size gun anyway. One shot more or less is hardly going to matter (in the game) IMHO. - Hindsight is always 20/20 - |

ok i'll try to explain the differences.
MP5/40A3 ok the 40, refers to the ammo, .40S&W. "A3" is in reference to the retractable stock. so its a .40 retractable stock MP5 ----------------------------------------------- MP5n (Navy) Three words decribe it, "safe, semi, auto" No burst. Its prolly got a fe other mechanical differences too. ----------------------------------------------- MP5K-PDW. Please note the "PDW" stands for "Personal Defence Weapon". Its basicaly a CQB version of the MP5, good for urban ops, bad at medium range, long range, or any other range aside form close. ------------------------------------------------ now lets all wait or gryphon/shaKKen to come and tell me how wrong i am. <img src=http://www.geocities.com/bischlong/jaunty2.jpg> |
