Idea Dump

I am thinking that it woulod be interesting to have so some floors collapse under certain weight. Like it the player's pack weighed like 30 pounds or something the rotting floor would break or something.

A repelling harness would be nice too.

Reflective stuff too (no, not so u can see your self.) where liht reflects off of shiny metal or something.

Are there going to be any Night vision goggles in any later inf version

Mabye something like burning wood or something...

The floor collapsing is not very easy, but could be done, but it would be mostly a mapping issue, and I doubt there would be much interest in it - because, basically, the floor can collapse only once. It might provide a means to get into an enemy position, though.

I think it's called rappelling, but I too think it would be interesting to rappel down a cliff to get into an enemy base. Again, this is just one insertion method, just like helicopters, parachutes, and boats, which all have their uses on the battlefield.

The reflections would be a mapping issue (and perhaps a skinning issue) but can be done.

The burning wood thing: I think some guys already created a tree that burns

burning wood? how so? i've seen a map where the creator made the surface of the wood into a water layer. so you got a animated texture thing with the reds and whites and oranges dancing around on the wood texture, i'm still trying to fu\igure out how he did it.

On the surface strength thing, it can be done but depends on the mapper. I've been playing with it for a while now.

**** Happens... and with great regularity too. We just have to deal with it one turd at a time.

back to floors

i think it would be cooler if you could make sections of the building collapse when you get to carried away with explosives.
