Anybody know of any plans to include a smoke grenade in Inf? I understand there's gas, flash and conventional explosive in the road map for future inclusion, but it would be cool if you could cover squad movements by laying smoke canisters which pump the stuff out for some time.
I take it gas means shorter duration anti personnel stuff?

Big part of infantry tactics too I suppose.
If you could produce it on screen without excessive cost in performance I think it would rock!

Yeah, smoke grenades would be cool...

as long as they aren't that little wussy toy smoke puff they have in counterstrike. I mean, even if you were to "hide" in the smoke... the area of effect is so limited that one could simply shoot at will into the smoke and still have a good chance of killing you.

I think there is a smoke grenade in the inf ammo page for the m203 and the hk69 if I'm not mistaken...

yeah there is, and wots the "white star" is it a flare sorta thing or a cluster explosive ?

As it says in the ammunition list, the M585 White Star is a white phosfurous grenade. It's used to "provide aerial illumination for identification and location of troops on the ground".
