This would be awesome....
hey guys, me and nord were talking over icq and both came up with two things that would really add to the gaming experience
ladders- I've seen the animations, now we need to get them in the game! as creative as bastard o' ladder(invisible stair) technique is, it can really only do so much...you can't make the ladders large because stairs can only be so tall, and if they do get big the stairs just out too far. falling animations- this, over the last one would be absolutely awesome. when a player falls off of a large building he just stands there...straight...like hes standing. WHy not have him flair his arms around? not only would it be humerous and entertaining but it would also add alot to the reaslism thats it for now!

Yeah, I saw the new free-fall animations over at the Firearms mod page and thought they would be great in Infiltration. There aren't many maps out right now that could really take advantage of it, but I'm sure someone would make some once the feature was implemented.

The ladder script would be nice, and would add another use for the grab key. Yay!

Yeah, its kinda wierd that you can climb ladders almost instantly.
What do you think of this: maybe when jumping off a cliff you should have to jump so you can control your landing. That way if you just run off you fall down and get hurt, or if you walk backwards off a ledge you fall backwards and land on your back. <a href="http://roguescript.hypermart.net"><img src="http://roguescript.hypermart.net/lib/images/other/forumsig.gif" alt="Infiltration Tactical Database" style="border: 0px solid #003000"></a> <span style="font-family: Verdana; font-size: 8pt; color: #F5B800; font-weight: bold">"When one hunts monsters, one must be careful not to become a monster oneself—for when you look deeply into an abyss, the abyss looks deeply into you." -Nietzsche</span> |

There is a lot of things to add to ladder for en enhanced realism.
Falling, prevent 360° rotation, difficuty to fire with only one hand etc... <p align="center"><font color="#FFFFFF">{REALITY XTREMIST} </font><img border="0" src="http://shoe.free.fr/sniper.gif" width="115" height="188"> <font color="#FFFFFF" size="2">{INFILTRATION,NO COMPROMISE}</font> </p> |

About the falling
If someone here has ever played Gunman Chronicles (I know really unrealistic) they would know that in the first mission with all the dinosaurs and stuff you run into an ambush and you see a guy falling from a great height. You can really hear him screaming and spreading and waving his arms and legs. This looks really cool this was probably a scripted event but maybe it would be something to implement in Infiltration? It would be nice to see a explosion on a rooftop and people falling off to their deaths.
A Plasma-Minigun would still be cool though

The problem I see, is that in INF, if you fall from a high enough height to play a character animation, you're dead when you hit the ground.

I think it would be difficult to make the falling animations, 'cause then you you would have to define at which height they should start the falling animation...
