Ok guys, this should please some mappers ;)
Ok, after hearing from half a million people who want textures, I've decided to do something...
... I'm going to make a generic texture pack. Soo, post what stuff you'd think would fit well (NOT what you want, but what would be something good in a texture pack). I'll consider the ideas, and then will get to work. Great idea!!
Here are some textures i recommend: 1. Jungle textures! trees covert with moss and dense forrest textures. *drool* 2. more realistic water and cloud textures, and better sun lensflares. 3. more realistic grass and rock textures. 4. and mayby some burned looking wood textures I'm sure i know more, but first i need more coffee ![]() ---Mess with the Best...Die like the Rest---

Windows m8 oh go do we need windows!!! doors stuff like that as ut aint realy got any good ones, light bulbs would be nice signs adds and things.. umm ill have a real good think on this brb heheh

[*]Some good realistic ground textures: dirt, short grass, stones, rock, concrete, etc...[*]cut out textures (textures with transparent areas), like the camo-net stuff used by the military.[*]more organic textures: foliage, better trees and bushes, wood, bark, etc... (Like HollowPoint said, Jungle/Forest textures)

Heh, ok, lemme see here...
Lensflares: Sorry, that's a bit much, I'm not THAT good ![]() Windows: I normally when I map do my windows with brushes rather than textures. Jungle Textures: Ok, that'll take some work to get it realistic, I'll make it a separate pack... I guess I'll be doing 2 packs then, urban and nature. Here's what I've thought up so far: Urban: Various brick, sidewalks, roads, base metals and concretes, pillars, various clean-cut woods, and some other detailed stuff... such as counters for banks, ceilings, various tiling floors, trash cans, dumpsters... Nature: Grass (flat), standing grass, trees, maskable leaves, treetop canopies (Jungle and ordinary forest, hehe), mud, rocks, etc etc... Are these going to be INF textures? I.e. with footstep sounds? That would be cool.
Whatever the case, make sure you give most textures (other than masked & translucent) detail textures. God it makes such a difference in-game... Trees in general ...
I mean just single masked trees, so that you can put up trees with sheet brushes

Ok, that'd be cool. I've never messed with the footsteps part of INF, I never realised that was built into the textures... I understood it to be built into the maps. If someone (prefferably on the INF team) could tell me about it, I'd appreciate it

Under your <utdir>\INF_System folder there is a file called MappingReadme.txt -- everything is explained in there.

Also, some wooden fences would be good. Ones you could see through. Some posters, vending machines, stuff like that would rule. More lights, seems those things are rare. A metal door text, like you would see on a metal case thingy. Varieties of ventilation ducts. Some torn wallpapery things. Lot's of old looking walls/sidewalks/streets/etc. Some dust covered streets would be good.

i was thinking, a nice clock would be very neat, i havent seen a good clock, and maybe add in a nice carpet texture and a nice new sky, i am sick of the same old sky although it does good most of the time
