So is there ONLINE play right NOW or not?

Im confused.....I hear that online play isnt out and wont be for 1 week to 2 months. I see version 2.82 is the newest version out. When i go to the downloads section, "offline play" is the only options to choose from.
Yet then I hear about version 2.75 that HAS multiplayer abilities. Although it is worse than the 2.82 version. so whats the deal? Is there online play or not? Is it worth it, or a test of online play? ORRRR is the GOOD online play coming out in 2 months or so...thats what Ive gotten from it all.

Well let's think this through shall we?

Considering that 2.75 is much older than 2.8, OF COURSE it will have online play. 2.85 (which will have the online code) won't be out until January. For right now, they released the offline version so we can try out the weaps and movement with the bots.

2.8 is so good offline, some of us have stopped playing 2.75 totally and are just playing with bots right now on 2.8 waiting for online. And besides the online play, new weapons will be implemented as well as new features such as bandaging, etc.

So to answer your question, there is NO online play right now for 2.8, but it is coming up soon.

I think I understand your question now. If 2.75 has online play, why doesn't 2.8? I believe that you think 2.75 and 2.8 are connected. They aren't. Two totally different conversions. 2.75 has the online code for 2.7. 2.85 has the online code for 2.8. Does that help you?

Hey, I am not going to push this any further, but I am assuming that this also includes LAN play. I know how annoying it is having to answer questions over and over... I just don't have the time to find any posts that are on this topic.

I have played 2.75, I would like to play the latest at our Christmas LAN(right after Christmas) and the peaking/layingdown has really intrigued me. But(obviously) if the network side of things has not been implemented I can't really use it!

Awesome product guys, has made for many AWESOME hours of LANing!

You can't play over LAN yet either. You prolly won't make your Christmas LAN thing with 2.85 because it probably won't be out until january!

actualy dont install 2.75 after youve installed 2.8+ it will messup 2.8+

You better be playing in god mode, cause im gonna rip your A(.) up man. I would be checking out the compitition if i was you. Cause no bot, will ever take the place of human ingunity. Period. Of course there are alot of stupid humans too, but dudes, I cna;t believe how many people have dropped from the planet because 2.85 isn;t out yet. don't be to sure, 2.75 and 2.8x are completely different games.

anywhoo, you can install 2.75 then 2.8 and still use both. i've done it. i've done it backwards to without major problems. if it messed anything up i probably didn't notice though cause my normal ut is jacked beyond hope and i never play it.
