UT: Cops - a mod idea, suggestions?

i think some people are working on a SWAT mod.

I know I'm not the only one that's riveted by COPS on weekend nights, so what does the community think about a UT mod that pits the COPS against the GANGSTERS (no, not KingPin), such that if you're a COP, your plan is to gun down the gangsters or put them in Jail like a JailBreak mod.

I think it has merit, but was curious if anyone else is interested in the idea. TIA,

For a moment I thought you were referring to "Central Organization of Police Specialists", a cartoon from the early '80s, but that would be too good to be true.

Well, if anything it would be a good idea for a clan-type group of players who "police" the servers of llamas, campers, and overall those using llama tactics. For example, that Gouryella who called Xylene a c*nt over on the UT forum. Or that guy a_nuke (see the UT forum. EIther way, 'hope that made sense...

Damn I'm glad that thread is finally locked. Even though I posted about 5 replies to it.

I've been thinking of starting up a clan like that, myself. Only problem is the names:

PuP Planet Unreal Police? Nahh... too corny

PuPB: Planet Unreal Punishment Battalion: name sounds good,
but tag still seems corny.

PuF|P? Nope.

PuF|EsP: Planet Unreal Forums - Enforcement Specialist Platoon! That sounds kinda nice. I dunno.

I know many of us want to "punish" people like that, it would be much better than flaming, but I don't know if a clan built specifically on the mission of hunting and slaughtering lamers would hold together for very long.

Just a few thoughts of mine on that subject.

or
les - llama elimination squad

I'm seriously considering it. I'd need some powerful LPB's, and a good XO (second-in-command), preferably someone with more free time than myself, to help organize.

Here's what keeps me from starting it right now:

<LI> Commitments - once a week is the best that I could do

<LI> Other projects - I have my hands full making skins and voices right now.

<LI> I don't think I could coordinate the OGL matches. I just don't have the time.
