First, get 6.47 drivers. Set skin and texture detail to medium, set decals to false and set color depth to 16 bit. Then this [D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice] Translucency=True VolumetricLighting=False ShinySurfaces=True Coronas=True HighDetailActors=False UseMipmapping=True UseTrilinear=True UseMultitexture=True UsePageFlipping=True UsePalettes=True UseFullscreen=True UseGammaCorrection=True DetailTextures=False Use3dfx=False UseTripleBuffering=True UsePrecache=False Use32BitTextures=False DescFlags=2 dwDeviceId=336 dwVendorId=4318 Use32BitZBuffer=False UseVertexFog=False UseAGPTextures=False UseVideoMemoryVB=False UseVSync=False |

Hey Face... try this... and turn your player models to medium. And weapon flash off. I think those two things were KILLING me. I had the same issues in game, serious bog down. And believe me, every time it happened I was begging for my Voodoo3 back. So far it's doin okay.
[D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice] Translucency=True VolumetricLighting=False (I may turn this on if it makes fog) ShinySurfaces=True Coronas=False (I can't see **** with these on) HighDetailActors=True (GOTTA have this) UseMipmapping=True UseTrilinear=False UseMultitexture=True UsePageFlipping=True UsePalettes=True UseFullscreen=True UseGammaCorrection=True DetailTextures=False (this will bog you down bad) Use3dfx=False UseTripleBuffering=False (this might help me if I enable it) UsePrecache=false Use32BitTextures=True (I think this is faster with it on - if you run 32bit game) DescFlags=1 dwDeviceId=336 dwVendorId=4318 Use32BitZBuffer=True (same with this) UseVertexFog=False (not sure if this will just gimme fog) UseAGPTextures=False (I'd keep this off, but experiment) UseVideoMemoryVB=True UseVSync=True Description=NVIDIA GeForce2 GTS/GeForce2 Pro Good luck!

One good reason not to buy Asus.I will never buy another Asus product again. It's not the fact that they are ****[they make good product's]it's only the support i'm pissed about.I bought an Asus M/B and e-mailed them about 5 times asking if there are any bios updates, and never got a reply. So I say **** them and **** their products. We are merely Pawns, they don't care about us at all...,,,

Settings seem good. I'd look for the problem to be coming from the AGP end of the game.. Sounds like you're not getting any HW accelleration.
What do you get when you run dxdiag.exe?

i fired up dxdiag and i did all the tests and they all worked
then i tryed disableing direct3dacceration and i restarted and ran a benchmark and it didnt change anything it was within 1-2 fps does that mean its not getting any hardware acceleration?? then i tryed disableing agptexture acceleration and i restarted and ran a benchmark and there was a huge performance hit does that help anyone to identify my problem?

With UT being extremely CPU dependant and D3D being a heavier API to run than 3dfx glide, you are probably not going to get much more fps than you do right now as long as you are running a Celeron. |
