I have been getting a lot of errors lately, like:
Connection failed: Downloading (deck16) not allowed or Connection failed: file type missmatch I get these errors when going from one multiplayer game to the next. I usually have to shut the game down, then restart it. I can then go to that exact game I was suppose to go to from the last. When we are done with the deathmatch, I get the same error everytime when going to the next map. I have to restart then go to the next map. I have reinstalled many times, I have reformatted c: Drive (unreal sits on my F: drive), I have the latest patch, direct 8, etc. Please help. Very strange indeed.
As you must download Deck16 and a re-install did not fix it, I could vaguely guess that our friend friend Hybris struck again. However you said you reformatted C: ? Then it should be gone (it's a virus in the wsock32.dll, so use a virsus scanner on it) Check this: http://forums.planetunreal.com/showt...2&pagenumber=1 I'm not sure if it is this, but it's worth a try |

Thanks 8-4-7-2,
That was the problem, a damn virus. I downloaded Mcaffree, sure enough, not only had it on the c: but the f: also. replaced wsock32.dll........unreal works fine now. |
