Problem with 4.05B patch

I have uninstalled UT and reinstalled with the patch twice and it will load the splash screen, but then it dissapears and does not go into the game. It is also not resident in memory after the screen dissapears. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Can you help me?

i had a similar prob with 402 patch... the game screen would come up, then the game froze... ctrl alt del told me two unreal tourneys were opened...
i haven't tried the 405 patch yet

Where'd you get the 405 patch?

I got the patch from www.unrealtournament.com (I think) But it was a reputable place...
