hi everybody,
I somtimes check my cable speed on microsoft website. Today was a big supprise!!! you guys should use dslreports to do speedtests: http://www.dslreports.com/stest/0
much more consistent and more accurate, imho.

Hmmmm not bad.....
I just tried that dslreports speed test 3 or 4 times and the average was around 1024kbs down, and 906kbs up. Does this sound believable?

with a high speed connection (dsl)
i get about 1024 down and 132 up, 19times faster than a 56k
friend with cable gets 1350down, 138up(26x faster than 56k) |

Recult from DSL Report
Here is what I got from DSL Report (East Coast)
Down: 2733 Kbps Up: 98 Kbps!!! What the hell is my uploading speed??? Is that strange??? Somebody using Videotron cable service here?? Do you have similar result??? ...Cable is good... But Matrox G200 means nothing... Hic hic.. With a new Geforce2, I will rock you all!!! SuRGV.. |

** Speed 1294(down)/35294(up) kbps ** (At least 25 times faster than a 56k modem) That up speed looks more than a little suspicious. I'm on ADSL.

From the NAC.NET NY east coast server this is what I got.

Heh, I got 32K\24K for my 56K. Which I know is untrue, if I was actually connected at 32K, I wouldnt be able to d/l at 5K/sec like I do. The u/l sounds about right for a 56K tho.
