Disconnect in Lan game

I am wondering if anybody can help me? I have two computers at home set up with a lan network, each one has their own ip address. I can find a lan game started on one of the computers, and can start to play for about a minute then one of the systems reboots itself. I am having a hell of a time trying to figure out what is up! This has happened every time I try to play.
