*note* - T&L is what makes Q3a so fast on GeForce cards *
IMHO Epic need to put T&L support into the next Unreal Engine game, or into UT with a patch. It wount't break the netcode would it? UT is far too slow on most machines (with GeForce cards) compared to games like q3a which have T&L.

Well, it's also slower on machines that don't have T&L than Quake 3, isn't it?
But yeah, the whole nVIDIA-Epic strategic relationship thingy should take care of this nicely. |

T&L will be in the next engine upgrade. It will be used for the terrain engine.

I have a geforce card and didn't notice much performance difference between the two games. The 'effects' such as shiny surfaces on Q3 do look better though.

T&L aint a huge thing to a lot of ppl that have a card without hardware T&L, but it is cutting edge technology, and if im very much mistaken, the UT engine is also cutting edge technology (as seen in the Unreal Technology movie) , so i reckon it's a worthy inclusion in the next major upgrade.
Epic - take note of everything being said for this thread...
