If you want to use skins online...
.. then check out http://www.envy.nu/customskins/
Sure they aren't as fancy as what you might find in utskins.com but people wont have to download these skins because they already have them, and when you play online everyone will be able to see them (not just people who also have that skin installed). That site will give you a great intro on skins and how to use them with some excellent examples as well
