This looks eerily familiar.

Would have been valid during MNC's launch since it included TF2 themed gear
Unfortunately the TF2 gear is absent in SMNC

A friend got me to try it out...it basically seems like LOL or DOTA but a FPS instead of a RTS. Either way, there were no tutorials or anything practice related, so I had no idea what I was doing. If there are tutorials, then they made it very difficult to find.

Tutorial maps: no
Tutorial vids: Some players have made their own of sorts, takes some searching on Uber's forums Practice mode is under the Play menu, you can invite up to 9 others to join you(Gold/XP gains are minimal) Also, left side of Lobby, View Guides button. Fairly extensive |

It doesn't much matter. Even if you know what you are doing, you will die 90% of the time.
Don't get me wrong, I really liked MNC (though I wish mod tools would have actually come out for it), but even on that game it took months before I could really get any kills. So far in SMNC I don't think I've gotten a single one. The gameplay is varied and entertaining but it is extremely difficult to get anything done.

Yea, pro killing is a lot harder than in MNC, tho I think the Pros still need a good bit of balancing work done
I got 250+ hours in SMNC and my advice is: Kill bots, avoid players(especially if the number above their head is yellow/red) If you are gonna pick a fight, make sure the fight is on your terms. Let the enemy come to you(or make them if you opt to run Veteran) and keep teammates nearby. A 1 to 2 level advantage isn't going to mean much if the fight is 1 vs 2+ Annihilator also got a massive change. Instead of a "slap the button" mechanic, there's a whole new animation to it and you can get knocked out of it fairly easily If your team is taking the Anni, block as much incoming fire as possible. Intercept projectiles/grapples, play human shield, etc If you think your team won't be able to take the Anni, push the botlanes as far as possible and spawn bots right after the lightning hits |

Kill bots Kill bots Kill bots Don't worry about killing Pros until you are leveled and even then make sure you are stronger than they are. This is NOT DM! Controlling the map with bots is just as important as kills. |

Also, buy bots
Fujis are a bitch to take down and Scramblers are sneaky little ****s that can come up and lock down everything but your weapon Scrambler gets too close, your skills won't work, lunges won't work, grapples won't work Don't even bother with buying a Jackbot unless you can escort that thing the entire way, especially since 8 Pros have a stun(or similar) that will stop that Jack cold Sin smokebomb Wascot CrookHook Karl ShortCircuit Megabeth DerbyDisku(frisbee) Tank ProductGrenade Veteran FalconSlam Gunner Slam Sniper FreezeTraps Not sure about Kitties/Firebase |

I still haven't tried SMNC yet but the old version was sorta fun. Almost every match we had would end up with the opposite team calling me an aimbotting cheater. Please say that the skill level is improved somewhat.

Grill, you know the TF2 stuff was in the new patch released almost 12 hours after I posted that
![]() JD, Sniper is pretty much the same as before, except he can't OHK anymore. New fun is that headshots cause a slow effect You really want to piss people off run around as Gunslinger. She doesn't have a scope(altfire is a shouldering, shrinks the xhair), but she has an instant slow "skill" and another skill that boosts her firerate You ask me it makes her much more dangerous than Sniper |

Speaking of such, I don't suppose you have that demo of you owning me in that one UT match I played against you on Deck 16?

Do you have to buy stuff through the game? Does this use in-game currency?
This free-to-play business model is really taking off: Microsoft Flight Crimecraft Gangwars It seems like a good way of selling a demo.... play it and then buy the add-ons. To me this does appear to be very much a DM based Q3 Arena type trip. Just an observation.

Endorsements and Products can only be bought with CombatCredits(ingame gold)
Pros can also be bought with real money or CC Weapon/Player skins can only be bought with real money, but have no effect on the game(purely cosmetic) I think Taunts are real cash only as well Boosters/Bundles are real cash only, with the exception of the TF2 Crossover Bundle at 49cents or 50CC SMNC isn't really anything like Q3A DM. In fact playing it as such will probably get you killed a lot |
