Wow those bumpmaps are looking good with Inf! It's Chris' renderer, but the deusx one aparently.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zl-8nVAjLGo Thanks for the heads up, i think i'll reinstall everything again just to see that. |

I miss INF :s
In wonder if it'll run on my macbook pro without melting it. I've left my other computers in Canada for now, and it's the only one I have with me in Germany. For once I'd be on the servers when other people actually play :P |

And your "ping disadvantage" is gone too, so go ahead and hop in on a server if you find time. Furthermore, enjoy your stay over here.
By the way, I had a nice 1 on 1 match with {GD}SWAT last week, I'd love to play more non-coop INF, if I only could get UT to work on my vista laptop (my ancient XP machine punishes me with to many crashes).

Wow! If it weren't for the low poly landscape, I feel like I'm playing INF: Source with HDR
![]() The online community is pretty dead though. I'm surprised how many Youtube vids of INF there are, but no players online. Very cool mod, thanks for the link!

Right now there are 3 players playing co-op, before that we had a 5 on 5 DTAS. In INF it is all a matter of luck when and how many players you meet online.

Has anyone tried it ? I don't know the first thing about ENB series but this makes me want to launch Inf again.

I tried it out using the bloom ut file: http://www.ut-files.com/index.php?di..._Renders/D3D9/
It didnt look like the vid though. I reckon the guy did some tweaking inside the files to get it to look more natural and better either that or a different file.I was getting waaay too much bloom and lots of unnecessary bump mapping (lots of surfaces that didnt need bump mapping) when using the file above. If that happens it really needs to be more of a community initiative. Start a thread where everybody posts the muties, camos, renderers, weapon(s)(packs) that are needed with downloadable links plus descriptions how to install and setup everything. Then archive that and let some users test it. Finally just release it as a big rar/zip file that simply unpacks in the Unreal Tournament folder.
At that point finding someone who can make an installer shouldn't be so difficult. Or just pay someone to port everything to UDK! |

well stogie , tell your friends that you don't need every mut out there, the one and only mut that is needed (and the most pain in the ass to install / find ) is psytex, the rest you can just download from the server itself
![]() But I'll be on that train if we/someone is going to port inf to the UDK .... High 5 oooooh yeah!

Funny to see you rediscover these, although I posted one of them in the SCAR topic a while ago.
![]() I used the latest ENB series for DeusEx (http://enbdev.com/enbseries_deusex_v0075e.zip ), latest UT DirectX9 renderer at the time of posting (http://www.cwdohnal.com/utglr/ ) and toned down bumpmaps at half the depth (Shift + F12, then 3 (or 5?) + PgDn to change it to 0.5, if I remember well) Last edited by yaofpfan; 2nd Apr 2010 at 04:47 PM. |
