I didnt realize someone posted this already, i just had some lifer crying that i was camping while playing D, brought this up on my clans BBS and got the same kinda responses. hence the quote in my sig

Friggin, no problem. Just as I am on the board every 10 minutes or so, I do see & respond to almost every post.

I know the Search Forums thing isn't very exciting, but it works wonders.

I agree with Rooster, there is no such thing as "camping" in CTF. There are things that can break the so called "etiquette" of CTF that MIGHT be considered camping, ie: Spawn Sniping and Portal Hammer Camping.

Next time, tell the llama to come find your tent!

Actually i told hem to quit crying and asked if he needed some tampons i could get him some and would have them waiting at the base

funny part was he told me to come out and fight like a man....so i left my base...walked right into his base..got the flag and came back to my base untouched...then i told him...OK!

Ok, defense is not camping. I occasionally get accused of trying to run up my score by "camping" the flag room to get the 5 points for killing the flag carrier... LOL. Meanwhile, my teams wins by shutout.

BUT camping the spawn points or a weapon point(ie. on Coret, the room where the RL is), while the rest of your team needs your help elsewhere is lame. The worst I see is when an opposing team member has the flag and is being pursued by several enemies, and his teammate continues to camp and not help him. This is where I have a problem.

Camping is what it is in any game. In CTF it's defense. Ignore the people who accuse you of doing something wrong. They just don't know how to play against it is all.

This has been discussed here many times. But the problem wont go away.

There are some llamas on the GAC server always whining about campers. But they are really guarding the flag.

BTW Boom, they need diapers, not tampons. There are UTers that wear tampons that can kick some butt

ACTUALLY, there IS camping in CTF.

I had an unholy game 2 nights ago on the XA server. (All Face all the time)

6 poeple. 3 on each team.
The opposing team just would NOT attack. just stayed up there and camped. (amen for telepunting)

So, I doubt they were defending. Since when i dropped the flag, there was no attempt made by them to retrieve it.

THIS, I consider blatent camping. Hell, at one point ALL 3 of them were on the top tower being trigger happy. Guess they thought it was Team DM or something ;p
