If only all server admins put that much effort into making their server cool. An entire forum dedicated to "How can I make the server better"

I've checked out the MyU forum as a PuF spy..um... er... a PuF visitor,

and there are a really nice bunch of people there.

I'm still furious that you brainwashed our beloved Osirus/Ashram into thinking he isn't a PuF

But other than that I guess that Wes is a pretty good guy =P

I have cable modem, so I love servers running big custom maps, but the 56k guys won't follow me onto your server

I know you have all the necessary downloads available at www.MyUnreal.com but you really should try to get that 4.20 redirect download thing working if you can. I have jumped into a server running custom maps with the redirect thing going, and the downloads were superfast.

All I wanna do is zooma zoom zoom zoom and a Boom Boom!!!

LOL. Hi, Jing. Hi, guys.

Actually I started browsing Unreal forum first from NaliCity, then PlanetUnreal. I then started MyUnreal BBS for the people who play on my server to post feedback and comments. What maps/skins/mod they like/dislike in order to run the server better. "I run the server for the people."

16 players, all custom latest BIG maps, low ping, lag free, & PL free is what our players want. I kept upgrading the server to keep it low ping & lag free. Just threw in another T-1 line to do load balancing to keep it packet lost free. People seems to like it.

So the goal of MyU forum is very server centric versus game centric. Both forum are quite different in many aspects.

Regarding name tag, chronical wise, I should be Wes|NcF|PuF|MyU. Dependence-wise, I was Wes|MyU|NcF|PuF. For the recent few months, because of the matches, it becomes Wes|MyU|PuF|NcF.

However, since I'm the founder of MyUnreal.com, I don't think I can defect easily.

Boom, we do have the redirected download working and it's redirected download from another of our T-1 line. That T-1 line was newly installed and has nothing but redirected downloads. It's SUPER fast!

Regarding Osirus/Ashram, he was with us for long time. Just because of the increasing popularity of our network, he started to get PL and he had to hunt for other servers to play. Now that we have once another T1 installed, his PL is gone and he is back.

Seriously though, I'm impressed, not a lot of admins are bothering with that redirect thing.

Ever since Epic added redirected downloads feature, I tried so hard to get it running. It's one of the easiest thing to do to reduce packet losses from servers. It also minimize the bandwidth usage.

I'll tell my story again.
When i bought the game i played alot, then i started getting tired of DM and was ready to put my UT cd in the closet. Then i decided to try out CTF, i was hooked.

i started getting bored with the crappy players and no "teamwork" then i stumbled into Wes' i think i played the whole day on that server and later on that night Wes joined and started playing. i told him he had a great server and i would put it on my favorites (the first server to make my favorites)

so if it wasnt for Wes' server i wouldnt be playing UT today! that's why i use the MyU tag.
