We made it clear when we started the tagging system that if you used it to attack others you could lose your privelege to tag. We just don't have the time to police a feature like that and people that abuse it lose that ability.
Now that happened and you're surprised? Losing the ability to place a bit of pseudo-anonymous text at the bottom of a thread is hardly worth getting worked up about.
