Having a comma in server name=!@#$%^&*()

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Ok, this is VERY hard for me to explain, so I will tell you what causes the problem and you can try for yourself. If you put a comma in your server name while running UT2Vote51, all the UT2Vote options will be jacked up and it really screws things up, if you try to access the admin menu within UT2Vote and there is a comma in the server name, all the options are messed up. Very hard to explain, just try for yourself.

Yes that is correct as all replicated information for anything is always seperated by a comma.
Illegal characters are a comma ',' - backslash '\' - a period (fullstop) '.' and a pipe '|'
The servername however might accept a period but not the others.
These characters are common to most games and normally just not used by Admin in the know.
