Can't skip intro with patch 3339

this sucks, I now have to view the 2 logo intros while starting the game. I can't skip them by clicking enter, or any other key on the keyboard, or the mouse.

Anyone else have this problem with Patch 3339?

ok, now I'm pissed. The patch overwrite my user.ini. All my settings are not gone. CRAP.. .. This sucks. I had a clean UT2004 install, running patch 3323, and I just did patch 3339, and it jacked my settings up.

Someone posted something like this in a similar thread. Thanks for the heads up. Luckily the 3339 mac version hasn't come out yet so I know to back up my inis when it does come out...

if you go into user or ut2004 ini and there is an option to skip the loading screen entirely. I forgot what it was though. It was posted before.

Just checked my game after installing the patch, and I notice nothing out of the ordinary.

I've got 3339 and clicked right past the intro. No problems here.

the intro's don't load for me, not suppose to, I have another file in it's place.

open your ut2004.ini find this line LocalMap=NvidiaLogo.ut2 change it to LocalMap=NoIntro.ut2 see if that helps

Sounds like his ini somehow reset.

I reinstalled the game fresh. My user.ini got replaced somehow. I'm back to normal. Next time, I'll save my ini files.

The first time I started up UT2004 after patching there was a 3-4 second pause before the menu came up. I just tried it a few more times though and it was only that first time, now it goes immediately to the menu as usual.

As for the .ini files getting wiped, that's happened to me before after nothing more than a crash. It was probably some odd set of circumstances that caused it. I just checked and mine is fine after patching.

Only problem I had was it installed the default splash screen so i lost my custom BuF one. Other than that everything is the same.

Happed to me when i installed 3323. I fell ya man. Having to install 6 cds of pain in the ass.

yea, all those settings again. I'm backing up my stuff, but this time I just simply forgot.

I have the DVD. I would go crazy with 6 cds, lol.

I think since the beta 333x's I've been having problems. The strange thing that just started happening after I patched with the 333x's is that whenever I go into any menu, the game minimizes once, hten not again until it's restarted. :/

I hope they 3339 mac version comes out a day after the windows release like 3323.

I have no problems to report with 3339; in fact, it fixed the umod problem I was having!

No problems with me in 3339. All my Keybinds work and my Crosshairs stayed exactly the same.

3339 noted problems:

A) user.ini overwrites
B) No Uninstall option, sometimes doesn't work at all.
C) Hands when entering browser
