New CTF4 Screenshots

Dark_Pulse of the CTF4 team posted fifteen new screenshots of the upcoming four-team Capture the Flag mod for UT2004. Not only is four-team CTF available, but Team DeathMatch and other gametypes are in the works as well. Here are four of the juciest shots:

Red's got some pretty good defense. But...

...they fall to the might of a couple Blue guys.

The central hallways are a dangerous place to hang out in.

Green Team's under siege from some Gold guys.

Gold's also gotta chase down Blue...

Gold succeeds in getting Green's Flag. But...

Blue succeeds in getting Gold's!

This map is wide open. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide!

Hope these shots satisfy your appetite for a couple more days. We'll be releasing more shots in the future, of course.

Kudos to the FlagPack team for graciously granting us permission to convert DuelingKeeps and TutorialClassic - you guys rock!

I'd love to see a conversion of ctf-thorns (ctf-ued-thorns3 I think is the full name). Also DOM-CBP2-Summit would make a good ctf4 map, need to block the jump pads so people can't go from end to end thou.

er, sum1 get spoondog, we NEED Techdream. could there be a tut on INI hacking so we can use the different colour skins all the time instead of the TDM/CTF/BR/ONS4 gametypes only? If everyone knew how, we could do it with no problems.

Spoondog has said he'll look into doing Techdream, as well as converting a map he made for one of Will's mods and a map he planned on doing for NickR's unfinished QCTF Mod.

Turns2Ashes: Original maps, currently there's at least one in there: CTF4-Crossroads][, made by David "Uncommon" Catmull, maker of the original CTF4 for UT99.

If you feel you can contribute something, by all means, give us a holler - we'd be more then happy to take a look at a map you think would fit well with the mod.

TheForgotten: Thorns is a rather gimmicky map... we're trying to establish a good, solid map base of interesting maps, not gimmicks. Besides, Romra is quite similar to Thorns in that respect.

Artman40: No official word on Coret, but I am working on it...

n00bkillin: The short answer is it won't work at all, not even the INI hack (I tried it and it didn't work.) Sorry.

You can make your own signature after you have registered. Just click on the 'User control panel (CP)' button and then click 'Edit signature' (without quotes or something like that). Then you can make your own signature by typing some message. You can also add link, pictures and html tags by using buttons above. There is the smile selection where you can add smiles to signature.
