i m new so dont know weather i can ask this que in this page or not.
can anybody plz tell me how to change my cd key of unreal tournament 2004.
i have instaled the game with a key now i want to change it how can i change it without uninstalin n reinstallin again

Start -> run -> 'RegEdit' -> "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" -> "SOFTWARE" -> "Unreal Tecnology" -> "UT2004" -> edit "CDKey".

Touch nothing else, as messing up something in the regestry can really **** up your computer.

hey when i run regedit it says registery editing has been disabled by ur administrator that is me but i neva did such a thing can ya help me out there too.

no man i m not piratin i have got 2 comps now i have used the cd on one of my comps n now i want to play the game on the other one too. so no it says the cd key is already in use or is not correct.

I don't think I can follow you (assuming that you're not pirating, of course). Your game comes with one valid key, and that's the only one you're allowed to use. IIRC, you should be able to install and play it with that one key on two different computers. However, you are not allowed to play on the internet with it; I'm not sure if it was legal or not on a LAN, but if it says you can't then it's because you're not allowed to.
Either way, it is illegal to use a completely different key from a key generator, so I don't think we can help you...

u can only use one cd key PER COMPUTER, ur liscense says u can only use it for one computer, and when u go to "I agree" when u install the thing, u agree to those terms, but if u did do it, meh, if i had two comps that had the game and wanted to play my budday one on one or witrh some bots, id find a way to do it.

You can put the same CD key on as many computers as you want, as long as you're playing on a LAN and aren't connected to the internet. But you'd better not try to play online with two different computers using the same CD key simultaneously, because it can get banned... and then you're out forty bucks.

Unless your behind a router, as the master server checks CDKeys on a External IP Basis, therefore you can have as many computers with UT as you want they all just have to be behind the same router IIRC.

I am using a router (linksys); so are you saying that I can install UT2k4 on both computers with the same CD KEY and play online at the same time without any problems?

If you want to play online from both computers, you'll have to have a unique cd key for both.

And I suspect nobody here will give away a cd key; the game's only $40, go buy it like the rest of us did.
