Crash on map Change

Help.

UT is now often crashing on map changes. Not every map change, but resonably often.

I have tried changing renderer, but happens in OGL as much as D3D.

I know i could reinstall but tbh it would be a pain in the ass etc.

Any thoughts/ideas b4 I bite the bullet and reinstall?

Plz update to 436 first if you dont have

But you mean mapchanges trough Mapvote?
or just when you want to start a map? or austwitch maps?

yeah am on 436

map change as in i am on a server and the server changes map. i usually see "xx player left the game" but my UT stops responding and I have to do a 3-finger salute to get to Task Mgr.

maby Ur Ini is ****ed up, you should try to replace it with an original one

Maybe you have corrupted file/texture somewhere. This will also crash a server.

I tought UT will notice when you have a missing utx/uax/umx/unr file, Not crash.
it wil go back to the mainscreen and saying(4exmple):





good chance thats you have a missing system file then

What I meant is that the file is there but it's damaged for some reason. Best way to find the problem is to go look in unrealtournament.log.
