I think it broke again

from editor to play it crashes(not editor, just the game)
Guess this means I need to save as different versions more often. Things were going so well on this one.

and for a fix i would have to reccomend trying a reisntall of the game, after all that will help, but make sure you back up your static meshes, maps. and all other files, like settings, before you do htat....

now for the fix...


step 1 : back up your u2xmp directory
step 2 : reinstall u2xmp
step 3 : install the patches, cbp, and alienpod map pack, in that order.
step 4 : copy the files from the backup of xmp, and do not replace any files.
step 5 : copy the user.ini and u2xmp.ini files back into the u2xmp system directory from teh backup, and make sure you replace the old one.
step 6 : install the master server fix fron the u2xmp.com site
step 7 : if the master server fix on the u2xmp.com site does not work post here, and get the server ip's from someone.

I had this happen once. I set the deploy point offset to 50 instead of .5. I specifically remember the infinite recursion thing ("whoops!")

Thanks guys, all I had to do was delete the energy scorces and it runs fine. I must have changed some value somewhere when I was moving around and resizing generators. Shows that it helps to really read stuff instead of freaking out
