Auto adjust skill, you're views on it.

Auto Adjust skill is the only way to play single player. Without it the game becomes boring 'cause your not really being challenged. Godlike bots are easy if you play them often enough.

The reason that many of you get your a$$ kicked is because the skill is not capped at Godlike. If you are kicking the Godlike bots all over the place they advance even further. The become even more accurate and can dodge more effectively.

I would never play mostly at Godlike with auto adjust active.

OK, I tryed auto adjust skill on the bots the other day for the first time. Within minutes it was saying Im inhuman, and by the end of the match the bots were godlike. It took quite a few atempts to hit the 5 cap limit I can tell you [img]/~unreal/ubb/html/smile.gif[/img] Anyway, I reckon that this feature is a little harsh, I may be good, but Im not Godlike I can tell you. What do you reckon of this feature?

I rekon it's a good tool to help you find what level you should be playing it on.

heh, i know it's pretty dumb.
i think it should adjust each bot's personal attributes instead of the level.
i'm pretty good against bots, so they automatically turn inhuman. The only problem s i dont want to play inhuman bots! i want to play adept bots! what gives?

I look at it this way...if it helps me get better, then I like the auto adjust. But, for those who don't have the time and patience to play long and hard...I suggest leaving it off. Instead, configure your bots manually or use the default skills.

well...having the patience to play long and hard. I can compete quite easily on the god like level, so the auto adjust skill is not much use to me. Although, I would say that it is good for any player looking to improve rapidly or newbies to UT.

After joining a good clan

I use the name CsiSparky on the NGworld stats as well

Sparky, have you tried manually configuring a few bots? If you turn on aggressive style and jumpy behaviour, and tweak their accuracy upwards a bit, I think the Bots will start getting a few more sparks off ya. [img]/~unreal/ubb/html/smile.gif[/img]

Auto adjust is good till ya hit godlike. then tweak the bots so that they are better and leave auto skill adjust off and play on godlike. then the fun begins.

and for the guy who says he wants to play adept bots, well leave it unchecked and put the bots on adept. Pretty simple huh?
