Great INF 2.9 moments.

Post descriptions and screenshots of your favourite moments in 2.9 gameplay!

My best moment so far: I was the last defender on Baghdad-sl, I just respawned and the CD was extracted. I rush to the objective area, don't see anyone and continue to run after the attackers. Suddenly, I trip the claymore I installed rounds ago. End of story.

I had 2 best moments so far. One time Snakebite and me descided to put the entire map of stalinggrad under smoke. Using my last smoke nade I smoked the cd itself. I then entered the building, attacked 4 defenders in the back killing them all, I went up grabbed the cd and ran like hell. I saw a guy moving near the heli so I knew I would be ambushed. Killed another 2 I think and we won that round in 3 minutes or so.

The other time was when G fresh and I finished all the objectives in Tuscany without firing a shot. It was tense even though the enemy was far away

I love this game

Best/worst moment -- playing Road to Kandahar with a team of 6 snipers (including myself for once), all on 0% accuracy after shooting continuously for 10 minutes. Oh, but getting hit continuously by the other side all the time.

when i was attacker on road to kandahar i joined the server late.
all i had was a MP5
so i ran like hell , killed a guy at close range with the mp5 , took the cd.. then i ran , ran , ran

and the time was counted. the time reached 0seconds when i was 10meters from the humvee

next round , i just kill the ennemy carrying the CD with the psg1 when he was 10 metters from the humvee and i returned the cd. it was so funny

well, a few days ago on AFA3 we had a fun game on ArabbayXL. While defending, the attacking team was always whining about how we were sniping them and couldn't cap on a map like that. The next round, I followed a guy called Bloodmoon to the objective, we killed 1 or 2 defenders (not much on a 20 players server ) got the CD and ran away. We wan the round in a only few minutes, I've got to say it was quite satisfying

I enjoyed capping my first flag on "A city Block" without firing a shot, the map was completed in 2 minutes. . About 12 people were on the server... Our team had 0 kills too.

Just about any CD cap has been incredible. Playng a 2v2 on ruin, I held a defense for 3
minutes, and on the following round, I capped the CD in 57 seconds, getting 2 kills with
my SIG551.

I just love to getthe cap with my teamates chanting Go Demo go! I love INF2.9!

A while ago, playing Specialist on Silo. I was the specialist, with no respawns left, and my team had just been wiped out. No idea how, but I managed to sneak in without meeting any defenders, get the CD, get back outside... where I met a shotgun blast at close range. Doh!

Good fun.

Alright here's another one from earlier today. Same map, A city Block. I managed to clear a path to the 1st floor warehouse security door C. I unlocked the door with Stylez providing cover. As soon as I enter the outside security door opens and I cap that guy and move upstairs. Stylez cleared the objective room and I checked the roof. He waited for me to grab the CD, but I told him to take it, so I could provide cover.

I go down the stairs from the objective room and unlock that security door, during the same time I'm hearing doors open and close behind me (I always close doors behind me). We open the door and make our way to the west alley. I peak around the corner and mow down the guy waiting there. At the next intersecting alley there was a guy there, but I took him down also while stylez ran behind my fire. On the stairway leading down the the street, there was another tango waiting for the CD carrier. Styles spotted him and we proceed to get into a firefight. I'm trying to keep the enemy at bay with cover fire from my P90, but I run out of ammo, I see his head poke around and switch to my socom. I hit the guy, but he's still alive, so I fire a shot about every half second to keep him from taking down our CD carrier. Stylez ran out and captured the data.

btw, Stylez and I were the only 2 people alive on our team at the time.

CamelToe, some of my best/favorite matches have been on ACityBlock. For some reason that map just lends itself to good matches sometimes. I've also had some great ones on BorderTown and Iraq. Very tense stuff. I'll have to remember more details in the future so I can write them up.

My favorite map to date is Tuscany. I've only had the opportunity to play it once (attack and defend). That map I can see having some tremendous matches on it, especially for 14-16 people.

You are aware that both attackers and defenders can carry the CD in RtK, right?

Many moments when I completely kicked ass. But the one that sticks out most follows:

Stalingrad. Year 2003. Night was just setting in, it was becoming difficult to see. The uniforms sucked ass and it was hard to tell the difference between them.

I snuck into the contested building. I heard someone ask for some spare mags. So I walked up and gave him a few. He wasn't on my team, but he didn't think to check to see if I was an enemy. I calmly extract the CD. I step into the opposing forces Troop offloading area. I booked through, luckily no one was there. I made it all the way back to the extraction without ever seeing an enemy.

I hadn't fired a single shot, nor had a single shot fired at me.

LaserSailor, if the default camos on Stalingrad look the same to you, you're most likely red-green colorblind.

hissssss

My favorite moment was discovering the new death sound. I just capped a bot offhandedly (literally, I was opening a beer with my mouse hand) and he made this terrible hissing sound. Sweeet, throat shot.

Other highlights include grabbing the CD in RtK and wondering what those contrails were...

My best moment:

Schlomo vs. Sniper Class
Iraq. Attacker.
I went into that building that contains the CD (that one with the wooder bridge and the radio mast.
Somebody dropped the CD on the stairs that lead to that small room where some claymores and M2 ammo boxes are stored.
Staring at it, I was crouching slowly to get the CD. But: RATATA! (AKMSU sound) - dead.
Next round:
Sprintet to that building again. Went to the stairs and threw to nades into that room. BOOM. Textchat: "You want some more?". Switched to P90 and walked into that room again. RATATA! (again AKMSU sound).

Then I realized there was no death message "You were killed by...", so it have been a sniper-class.
Launched the editor and looked at that part of the map, the sniper class says: "Warnfirst = false" DAMN!

my favorite moment was in that map with the bridge... I was getting annoyed of getting sniped by 2 snipers that were in a corner of the map... so I took my suppressed socom and went aaaaallllll the way around the map

*tufff* *tufff*

2 snipers less on the face of the earth

i remember on silo, i claymored every single exit way. But knowing me, i ended up using 4 spawns just to set them up. lol
I'd set up a claymore, then move on to the next, while i'd be placing those trip wires, i'd manage to get to close and.... KA-BOOOM !

claymores are a hazard but great fun

Yesterday on Pankisi Gorge: We were defending, I set up a claymore near the laptop and went prone between parts of the ruin and lots of bushes. Very good cover and the laptop was in sight, maybe ten metres away. The guys in my team did a great job at defending and only a few enemies managed to slip through the defenses. They were awaited by the claymore and my trusty M16A2. This went on and on until I suddenly was the last defender still alive, with about two minutes to go. Several attackers tried to get the laptop, they all fell victim to my rifle. The attacking team wasn't really bright, I always shot from the same position and only once did somebody try to sneak up on me. In the end I hadn't died a single time and held out in that position for ten minutes.
