It is only a matter of time until America is one great big vagina.
(NOTE: The vagina comment above was not directed as an offense to women, but rather, was meant to symbolize the growing era of "Pussified Culture".) |

I'd really like a picture of one of the people representing these groups so I could add them to my Moronicide Now campaign.

The media just doesn't get it. They'll report in the news that video games are too violent, and shouldn't be made. Then 2-3 hours later NYPD Blue is on with "Parental Discretion Advised"

If the media's clames about games was true, the pop of the US should be wiped out and and only a few blood hungry kids left.

i truly enjoy how they expect to solve problems with "parental discretion advised"
it all started with the movie industry. blood and gore and sex deserved an R rating, because movie makers weren't going to stop making movies like that, so they said, 'kids should only go with their parents' and this is extrodinarily ironic because in today's society, kids do less and less with their parents because of hte the degradation and erosion of family values, caused by the fact that there are more and more single parent families and dual working parents, the result of which is that parents simply cannot provide enough care and attention for their children, or they come home and don't know how to raise children, or simply are so tired that they throw video games and movies at their kids hoping those things would raise them instead of raising children themselves. and these are the same people who then blame video games, if hteir children commit crimes because it's easier than blaming themselves as awful parents. you want to stop kids from shooting people? change corporate america, make the minimum wage higher, provide an adequate standard of living across the board so that the majority of america has the option of having one parent stay home with the kids to raise them properly. then, have the parents actually raise children properly instead of shopping for shoes at walmart and chatting with their friends all day.

another thing is that the parents today are far too self indulgent, i mean a majority of kids in these cases of school shootings, barring gang violence, aren't poor. one of hte columbine kids has a father that was a dead fireman, his mother raised him, but all the others came from well-to-do families. the kid that was 12 and shot his schoolmates with a rifle from the bushes, he broke into his grandfather's ARSENAL... i mean, a family that collects GUNS, isn't exactly poor. a colt 1911, the service pistol of the US army from 1917 to 1982, the most widely used and hte most popular gun in the history of mankind barring perhaps the AK47 derivatives, sells for a few thousand dollars on the market these days... you can't decide one day to start collecting guns when you're on minimum wage, and this kid's grandfather had a cabinet full of guns... these are all nice, medium-salary families, middle class, whose parents arent's spending time teaching kids to play catch, instead they're off chasing their own dreams, and children are a mere vehicle of their expectations. how the hell are children going to raise themselves? i wouldn't be surprised if one day a kid breaks a barbie doll into shards and stabs another, and all of a sudden they sue mattel for making a violent product. get the hell over it.

Anyone play manhunt yet? (another cool game with a wicked plot made by rockstar?)
Well working at a video game store there is all sorts of controversey surrounding this game... we had to take down all standees and we are not allowed to demo the game for anyone.... And we got a memo telling us we are not allowed to talk to the press about it.

Today I d/led a mod for Vice City, now I run over naked chicks...
![]() btw, as I'm writing this, my daughter(9) is playing vice city, she loves it, and when asked she thinks it's a very cool game. I really think that she knows the difference between a video game and r/l(tm). I realize that there are some kids out there, that do not know right from wrong, or just don't care, but I don't think that ALL kids should be made to suffer for those who do wrong. Wish I had an answer.....

i still think if they don't know right from wrong, it's the parents fault. the parents need to stop blaming society, this and that. they're just trying to look like victims because they don't want to accept responsibility that their kids shot up schools because they're just bad parents. kids don't pick up right vs. wrong from anyone but parents. they sure as hell aren't going to pick it up from games...
even normal non-video games, think dodgeball. you know it's wrong to pick on one kid and aim the ball at his head. you know it's wrong to be a vindictive sonnovab*tch, throw the ball as hard as you can at someone you don't like. but you did it as a kid... every one of you had done it playing dodgeball. games don't teach morals, parents do. and it's okay for a kids to behave childishly in dodgeball, but it's silly to say dodgeball contributes to violent tendencies and should be outlawed. if a kid can't tell the difference between a dodgeball and rocks, it's hte parents fault, not the game's fault.
