because you've already downloaded (even partially) it and it's using the cached version

FTU is correct, it started downloading when you went to search where to save it to, then downloaded itself.
I get 120kB/s, thats supposed to be 786kBITS/s, and i pay 20$ (canadian!) per month for it. Canada is the home of cheap broadband

Damm it...
l pay $96 Australian for 512/256 10gb and it runs at 52.5.... Everyone else on dial up in my area runs at 3.2 or usually 2.8 max!! They have 56k modems too. Australia is the worst for internet...

I routinely get 250-300 MB/sec off of Microsoft.com (downloaded the Windows XP Service Pack 1a redistributable in under a minute) and other big servers...dual OC-48 fiber-optic lines and Gigabit Ethernet are very lovely to have.

I assume you have RAID 0 spreaded over several PCI IDE controller cards or a rather expensive SCSI setup to actualy write that much data on your HDs in such a short time? 250-300MB/sec is to much for todays HDs.

RAID array built into the mobo. And copying the file to disk STILL takes longer than the actual download...

I just noticed I wrote BS. Serveral PCI controller cards wouldn't help anything couse the 133MB bandwidth is shared with all connected cards.

For some reason, my ISP sent me a new modem in the mail. I hooked it up to my router, and all of the sudden its 1.5mbit down, 512kbit up ADSL, for 20$/month CAD!
Anywho, i'm not used to getting a 300kbyte/sec transmission overhead, this is sweet
