"lets just be friends"

I just told a girl I don't want to see her unless she wants more than a plutonic relationship. She uttered the infamous "well, we can still be friends though" line. I said, "no, I have enough female 'friends' to last me a lifetime, I don't need anymore".

I almost felt mean, but then I thought to myself "she's let me ring her every night for the last 3 weeks and blow a ton of money on my phonebill", even though on the second date she didn't see me as a potential boyfriend figure. Bitch.

I can't wait for the next woman to come along, string me along for 3 weeks while I spend a fortune on her and then tell me she never saw me as a boyfriend figure in all the time I was dating her. Does life get any more fun than this?

I took myself off the market quite some time ago and to be honest havent been as happy in years. I guess I just needed some "me" time. Besides adjusting my personality to suit some temporary gf was never going to work. But if you need a partner - I am sure there is one out there for you and at least you will be able to go to elan now. Silver linings.
