Jailbreak for Unreal Tournament
Hi,
Just out of curiosity, how many people tried Jailbreak before and did you like it ? The new release of Jailbreak will launch within the next few days, together with a lot of new maps and new features. |

When I had UT installed on my computer, UTJB was one of the only UT mods (in fact, I think it was THE only UT mod) on my computer's screwed-up hard drive. Needless to say, it's one of the few UT mods I enjoy playing.

allow me
Jailbreak is an UT mod, originally made for Quake 2. The objective is to capture the entire enemy team. This is done by killing them. When a player is killed, they respawn with the basic weapons (enforcer, impact hammer) in the enemy prison. When a whole team is in prison, they are executed in some way, and the other team gets a point. It is not this simple though. Imprisoned players can be freed by teammates, they can press the release key in the enemy base. The jail temporarily opens, allowing for escape. In JB there are two bases, with a jail and a release key. Some jails allow for escape from within, but this requires teamplay. For example a hole in the floor, can only be done online i think, bots won't do this. Also, in some maps, there is an arena. 2 Players (one red, one blue) who are imprisoned, are spawned in an arena. A 1on1 to the death. The winning player is freed and spawns in his base, the losing player is respawned in prison again. Defending the base with the release key is crucial, it can be very frustrating when the whole enemy team is freed by the remaining player. Hope this was a good explanation for you. There are a lot of original features added, bugs fixed, and of course some extra maps, which haven't been released yet. I can't tell more yet since I don't know wether it's allowed
Anyway, the download is only 27 MB, which is doable, even on a 56k modem
