Possible solution to bots shooting you in the back.

Right well, as you know the bots LOVE to open fire if they see the enemy, no matter who is right in front of their barrel.

So, what if their hard-coded to spread out AUTOMATICALLY no matter what command they're performing, or where they are moving.

This way, if they just open fire, chances are that unlike now (where they always form a neat column) they will be spread out and you as well as most of the bots won't die.

This also has some tactical advantage in terms of defending against kamikaze M203ers - more spread out - less likely that 1 40mm will take out the whole squad.

And maybe some more inclination to wander in a single direction or follow an edge when there are no more waypoints nearby?
