2.87 out tonight?

Last I saw the Inf. team said 2.87 would be out by the end of January, and since I haven't seen an official announcement of a delay yet (though the last news post did not seem very promising), 2.87 should, in theory, be released by 12:00 AM PST tonight. I have strong doubts about this though. Anyone know the latest word on the release?

Does this mean!?!? that the CDs have shipped! It should be soon then!
One thing that I think the INF team was really really really dumb about is releasing the CDs earlier than the download. That way servers that get the CDs will have 2.87 up and only guys with the CDs will be able to play on them or servers will only have 2.86 up and guys with the CDs will have to fiddle fart around in single player which we all know could ummm use a few minor improvements

2.87 is not ready yet....

sublime, yurch and the rest of the evil ones are keeping it from us with something called "beta testing".

no generally the big offical servers are given priority, and the files are made open to them before the public.. paying or not.

I predict we'll see soemthing like this

on febuary XX the servers willl switch over to 2.87 a few days before it's available for download.. thus giving the truely devoted (paying) INF supporters some much deserved "private time". Then it'll be available to the general public as a download.

Another bonus in this situation is that assuming that some of the CD purchasers put up their copies for download, it will reduce some stress from the offical serves when it's offically released.

course i could be all wrong..

Damn, I was being sarcastic

I'm just sick of the typical pre-release general forums. Every other post is "where is 2.87", "it's almost feb, wtf?", "blah blah blah, gimme gimme gimme, goo goo gah gah". I usually try and avoid them, but for some damn reason, they gave out release info on 2.86 in one of these posts before posting it on the main site last time. So I missed the release party, and the last INF radio

But my lord, people need to learn patience. I don't even care anymore.

I agree, srew it, I'll download it when its available, get in line with the 6,000 other file planet users currently online, and wait my turn, till then play some more 2.86 bugs n all.

I hacked into Warren's computer this morning and downloaded the COMPLETE Infiltration Version 2.87, I can send it to you guys if you want...
