Comparing weapon model with others mod...

hey thanks for the pics!

I posted earlier that the new INF weapon models look like crap compared to INF 2.75, and on my machine they do.

But now seeing as they look great on your machine now I know I did something wrong.

I have a geforce SDR card and was using the new loki opengl driver which made UT look better thanks to detail textures, but apparently it screwed something up with the wepaon models in INF 2.8 tho INF 2.75 was looking great.

Go figure. I will have to check out what went wrong and see if I can fix it.

Thanks again for these pics, I had given up on 2.8 but now I know it is possible to fix it.

next time when you make such comparisons please dont use HIGH details for INF and medium detail for SF!

Heres what I think about the weapon models:

-Strike forces models appear to be more crisp - their textures apear to have more detail

-Infiltrations models have much better animations for reloading and shot recoil

-The fact that infiltration has models that you can actually aim on (with the metal sights) makes them 10 times better

-one thing about the flashes is that they only apear once ever 3 shots, and are terribly off centre

Muzzle flashes appear randomly, just as they're supposed to in real life. As for the centered thing, we're working on it. /infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
