I just expanded my 'desktop horizon' with another 17" monitor (now working with a 19" and a 17"). I gotta say: this really is useful. Not only when working with Flash, Photoshop, Director, Authorware, C++ visual studio, 3D Studio max 3, (the list goes on), but for general browsing and working as well... Hmm it's getting very tempting to go for the max and connect 9 monitors (that's as much Windows can handle) ;)

Yeah! I have two 17" and it's pretty useful for playing UT too. I usually start mIRC or some chat, put it on my secondary monitor and then run UT on my primary. That way I can see if something's up in the chat while I'm playing!

Wacky... you can run multiple monitors from one computer if you have a graphics card for each monitor you use...
Win98 supports this (as does Linux I think)...

A monk asked Basho, "What is Buddha-nature?"
Basho replied, "Three pounds of flax."

The_Dudester is right there, wacky. With win98 you can add up to 9 monitors to one system. Either by adding more video cards or getting a multi port card like the Matrox G400, which has 2 video out monitor ports.

Windows just expands the desktop over multiple monitors. So now I've got (1280*1024)+(1152*864)=2,306,048 pixels to fill with whatever i want :)
You can drag windows from one monitor to the other or when you're working in Photoshop for example, you can let the 2nd monitor blow the picture up so you have less problems when you're doing "pixel surgery".

I wish I had more room for video cards; I've got a couple of spare 15" monitors I'd love to add :)

Anyway, I'm very pleased with working on a multiple monitor system. I can recommend it to everyone, especially if you work alot with programmes like Photoshop, 3DS max, Flash, Visual studio 6 C++, or Director, etc...
