So funny, and so true... I don't know if I can watch the prequels any more after watching this
holy sh*t dude!
you weren't kidding.
I've always known that the Star Wars prequels were pretty shameful, but I tricked myself into believing that this was only because the originals were so damned good. it was just the comparison to the old that made the new movies look bad, right?
wrong.
that Phantom Menace review is pretty epic and unfortunately it's ALL TRUE.
once you actually stop to think about it (something I didn't really do when I first saw the prequels) and have someone break it all down for you in detail, it becomes glaringly obvious: the new movies are TERRIBLE.
wow. and it's something I didn't even really notice before, I guess because I was duped like every other fan. I just wanted to see the "next" chapter, and the special effects, so I swallowed their pill.
but now, I dunno if I'll ever be able to enjoy the new movies again.
he's so right, they're so bad.
virtually no character development or audience attachment.
virtually no emotion.
inexplicable and contradictory plot elements.
convoluted plot progression.
and George Lucas himself talking about how special effects mean nothing without a good story... 30 years prior to ruining the sequels.
lol, and I didn't even consider it at the time, but when Qui Gon says that sh*t about midichlorians being tiny living organisms inside every living cell?
he is basically tampering with the entire Star Wars mythological and spiritual concept that was created by the original films. I mean seriously, what the hell was that? that sh*t makes no sense. the force was supposed to be something innate and magical. not mito-f*cking-chondria and golgi complex (that's a nerd joke... congrats if you get it).
