PSN got hacked...and is still down.

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

Not really, they didn't say anything at all. Just a conference for the sake of saying that their security wasn't good enough to stop anyone getting in.

Hello? We all know that already, for the obvious reasons.

They're still trying to feign as much as possible that they haven't been inadequate. Someone just needs to throw the book at them already and put their out of their misery, and their whimpering out of eyeshot.

“In the enterprise world, companies want maximum up-time. They don’t want to take their servers down, so they try to balance security with up-time.

Bull****. Valve takes steam down daily and applies patches pretty damn frequently, so that is no excuse.

If anything it was probably a rogue member of Anon.

Though it was openly behind attacks on the PSN in early April, the hacker collective known as Anonymous has denied sanctioning the attack that has now kept the PSN down for two weeks. However, the loose nature of the collective, which has no official leaders, means that rogue elements could be behind the intrusion.

Just think, there's a collective of angry, militant virgins with computer programming skills. Nerd rage!
