I still can't help but think this is a massive hoax or something, can't quite believe that blatant ripping to this extent is in any way serious.

LOL it really looks like it is photoshopped image, look how the snow is placed tehre unrealistically, or its just some ****ing boring sprite in there.
They basically replaced everything left of the stairs with a mirrored copy of all to the right of it.
This is either hilarious or pathetic. I can't decide which one.
Your analogy fails any various grounds. One has already been mentioned, but remember that even a photograph is protected by copyright. If you took a photo, I couldn't sell that photo and make a profit without being sued.
