"I never was, am always to be,
No one ever saw me, nor ever will
And yet I am the confidence of all
To live and breathe on this terrestrial ball."

how about this one?

What is greater than God, more evil than Satan, a rich man needs it,
a poor man has it, and if you eat it, you will die?

this is a hard one but it is a true riddle:

"Think of words ending in -GRY. Angry and hungry are two of them. There are only three words in the English language. What is the third word? The word is something that everyone uses every day. If you have listened carefully, I have already told you what it is."

Firstly - the answer to
<BLOCKQUOTE><font size="1" face="Tahoma, Arial, Helvetica">quote:</font><HR>
What is greater than God, more evil than Satan,
a rich man needs it, a poor man has it,
and if you eat it, you will die?
<HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

is Nothing

Secondly, air and gravity are both valid answers (just not the ones you wanted) :p :)

"I never was, am always to be,
No one ever saw me, nor ever will
And yet I am the confidence of all
To live and breathe on this terrestrial ball."

I found the answer to the -GRY riddle.
I just won't give it, yet; let Henke give it. It isn't very interesting btw, and can give room for discussion.
Hint: there is a FAQ page for it :)

Oh, and Sky, I missed your post because I was typing. We have similar answers.
