Comvoicepack 3 looking for actors (accents)

this isnt a war man. this is conversation. you guys are like family, even if you might not think so.if your not willing to help sort out trash from treasure, why are you INF beta team leader? everyones opinion is well heard, and i read all replys more than 2 times to make sure i fully understand your points.this thing is far from done.


but for the the rest of the voices...........im gonna go investigate some of my friends and see if they have the ability to speak other languages or have nice accents for this new VP series.i know quite a few dutch people and DbD also has an aussie female in it, maybe you will like that?

Again, you didn't get my point. What I meant was that I'm not going to start kicking and screaming to get you to change anything. As for me not "being willing", I don't remember being recruited by you to beta test anything. However, I downloaded the pack, I did give you my opinion on it. How is that "not being willing"? It's not like I, or anyone else for that matter, can force you to do anything. But hey, if you want more of my opinion, I'll give it to you. Not much more I can do in terms of "being willing" than that.

1. You should try to speak more "natural" on some of them. It sounds a bit like you're acting. Others are excellent.

2. The "Area clear", "Contact", "Hold this position", "BackupNOW" and "Fall back" are great.

3. The "Hostile Down", "Acknowledge" and "Engage" binds are crap and should be changed. The first and last because of the words, the second because it's too "stiff", sounds like you are acting.

4. The "Cease fire" bind, without the "tap", is great.

5 Overall, soundquality is good, allthough it lacks a bit of the radio "feeling". It's difficult to mimick and it's not really a big deal.

That would be initial hastly written up report, including the part I wrote earlier about the swearing. What you do with it is of course entirely up to you.

CFA, my suggestion to you is as follows... Make your voicepack, with all the F words you want. Then make a "lite" version sans the F word and please keep the cursing to 25% (5-7) commands or less. I will include that one in the Comvoicepack3 ( I do think your voice is original and would make a nice addition to the list). YOur original "uncut" version could be placed seperately in a single voice pack for use on the DBD server. I think that would satisfy everyone and it would allow me to use your hard work.

Alright NT, I've finished recording the Polish voicepack. I put the quality on the lowest possible. Now I just need to zip them and then I can email them to you.

Okay, I guess I've been drafted for the project, but I wont be doing voices until next week monday sometime. Sorry for the delay, but there's a series of parties getting thrown around CT in my honor, and I have to at least make an appearance for some of them. I have tuesday and thursday mostly off from school (some classes are canceled) so I can probably finish them off around then.

Uhm, the Nick voicepack has the "s" word in it, should I censor that with a satisfying 'beep'? Or maybe a gun firing?

As for mimicing radio sounds, have you heard the Harrm Voicepack from DbD? I used a custom voxcom filter I made for it, and it's supposed to mimic 1990's-era voxcom radios.

Also, I'm Italian, and I could do a perfect Tuscan accent if you'd like. But with the huge list of voices you already have, I doubt you'd want to increase the filesize more.

1> Take your time.

2> S word is ok for the voice pack. Leave it in.

3> I like your filter and hope you do some of the voices with it. I allready contacted Jayhova, and he agreed to edit the ones I want him too. So far, Vahls voicepack will be done by Jahova and so will CFAs ( by his request to have his voice with a modern day radio sound).

4> Feel free to make a voice. Even 10 voices is under 10mb if coded and edited right.
