I installed Unreal tournament 2004 on my linux machine (ubuntu gutsy 7.10) with gpu go7300 , dual core. and when i start the game all is good except the settings screen looks wierd and i get stripped boxes/squares over lights, rockets, etc .. in the game.

here are some screenshots. Id be very grateful if someone could help me as to how to fix this

yes i installed 169.09 (latest) but now i have installed the game though wine and tried playing it with direct3d and i dont get those stripped lines. then when i go back to opengl i get them. i am thinking it must be the installation. i bought the MIDWAY: editors choice edition DVD which doesnt come with an installer for linux so i had to download one in beta maybe that was it. all in all i just ordered the atari cd-rom version (which comes with a linux installer ) so maybe that will solve the opengl problem, ill probably sell the midway dvd version i bought i dunno. thnx anyway

I dont have linux or a mobile video card like you do, 169.xx is a driver for geforce cards. try installing the geforce mobile drivers they are on the same site. Follow the link i gave earlier and change the product type to "geforce m/go".
