SimCity 5 in 2013?

We can send codes via email (may be slower) or you can set up any TOTP Authenticator app on your phone (Authy, Google Authenticator, etc) to deliver codes. It is highly recommended that you configure this to keep your account safe.

I'd be more excited for something like this on Android.

I've never understood most sim games tbh.
They're not really simulations and they're not really games.
They're just sort of... "Managements!"
SimCity has always been different. The fiddling around in menus is always pretty minimal. You just need to know how to "read" the game world and their demands and other than that you can pretty much just build and have fun. Or if you get bored... plaque your city with earthquakes, fire, flying saucers... whatever.

I've been playing Sim City 4 Deluxe myself lately. The constant crashes to desktop keep me plenty angry, but otherwise it's still a ton of fun.

I still think Sim City 3000 was the best one, despite not having 'regions' and all the micro-management features that SC4 has. If only SC3k supported widescreen resolutions or had a proper working widescreen patch :(

EDIT: Scratch that, Google says that SC4 has issues with multi-core CPUs. Apparently you can fix the problem by adding these switches to the shortcut - /high /affinity 1

I just did that, gonna go play now and see what happens :D

There are two posts of potential solutions here, towards the bottom of the page. Win7 with an ATI card may be problematic with the game.
Another option here.

Thanks for digging those up. I have WinXP installed in a separate partition so maybe I'll just use that to play SC4. Rebooting just to play one game would be pretty annoying though.

I wonder how it'd run in a virtual machine? (Probably not well.)

There's a non-gameplay trailer now, so it's official. Apparently they're going the reboot route and simply calling it 'SimCity.'

Bad news. They're doing a 'Mass Effect 3' with it and cutting up all the content to be sold as DLC, or in 'special edition' exclusives.

If you want the actual full game (aka the Deluxe Edition), it will set you back $100 - not including DLC.

Yerp, just saw it. It's double super money time for EA again.

The days of actually owning a full game are over. Here is hoping for an industry crash soon so these stupid moronic fuckheads will get their shit together.

80 euros for the full game?

If I wanna play a SimCity I would even go with the original (1989) game over it.
