This is an update to the two threads available here and here. As you can see, after almost four years of development, we're still in the game. Not only that, we're actively progressing. Therefore, I chose to start a new thread in here in order to promote the project.

Unreal Episodes is a series of prequels, remakes and sequels to the original Unreal. It's a Third Person Shooter/RPG hybrid with heavy emphasis on the storyline, character development and social interaction.

Here's a rundown of the currently developed episodes:

Developer: UMS Research & Development
Synopsis:
The Manhunt begins where Return to Na Pali left off - with the crash of UMS Bodega Bay. The player, Bodega Bay's Executive Officer, must find a way off Na Pali, then locate and apprehend or eliminate the fugitive, Prisoner 849.
Meanwhile, the Bodega Bay's Captain, John Clark, awakens in a Skaarj research facility and is subjected to a brutal interrogation. He manages to escape the facility but must find a way off the planet as well.

Synopsis:
5 years after the events of RTNP, Captain John Clark, previously of the UMS Bodega Bay, is sent back to Na Pali to salvage a failed mission. However, when the UMS Berryessa is attacked by a Skaarj Battleship, and plummets towards the hostile planet, it looks like Clark will have to salvage the salvage mission...

Synopsis:
The year is 2216 and the Unified Military Systems are preparing an offensive on an unprecedented scale. Operation 'Crashdown' has but one objective: break the Skaarj Empire's hold over Na Pali. The player, a young UMS recruit, is to participate in this operation. And she is yet to realize how much is at stake.

- static meshes, emiters, projectors, weather effects and flora, all made possible by the 227 engine update thanks to Smirftsch and the rest of OldUnreal crew.
- multiple optional missions and assignments (Episode 4 only at the moment),
- much, much more.

I'm going to have to ask Dozey about this in detail since I entered the project pretty late, but in here, a full listing of people who contributed something for the project will follow.

Non-members:

Once I'm fully done dealing with our main system packages, sorting out the stuff that's been made for the project thus far (I believe it will be done by the end of the month), I'll list here all assets made by various members of this community that we're using, like foliage decorations, various triggers and other engine stuff, music and so on. While we are mostly working with original content, we don't shy away of using available resources if these are available and it is OK to use them, so this list might take some space.

Recruitment:

It may seem shocking by the look of the list, but what we need most is mappers. Active mappers with passion. We have all other departments covered and stuff keeps flowing in, I expect the core packages to be fully done by the end of the year, but mapping is another cup of tea.
If you're willing to map for UMS R&D projects, you must take it into account that there is a certain rule I'm enforcing after the last cleansing of ghost members. This rule is that a mapper will have to report to me on a weekly basis, and if they managed to produce something - anything - be ready to immediately provide the work-in-progress mapfile on my request. This way, if anyone drops out later on, their content will not be lost.

Perhaps it would be good to put it in the "content" section of the forum, and I guess such long description here can make people not comment on this, just speculating though.
