Time for a flashback! These shots are from back in January/February when me and some cohorts had first discovered Minecraft and were using the old Creative mode to mess around in.

d8Whj.jpg

First room I ever made.

YcEgu.jpg

Second room I made, its a totally bitchin' party room.

2E7Rl.jpg

Some of my gay disco party town, and the suicide tower.

9wk7y.jpg

A view from the top of the suicide tower. Jump off for fun and profit! Or doom, possibly.

MYyVv.jpg

Underground temple for the United Church of Darwinius. Check out the skylight that goes through multiple rooms. Spiffy!

VegZK.jpg

GAY DISCO PARTY TOWN HELL YES.

hYFCx.jpg

A landscape, a sign, and the boring district of gay disco party town where all the old ladies live.

How would this tower qualify? It's built on top of a cliff on the edge of it, from the top of the cliff it's all right but from the bottom ground level it's not.

I was going for some old monastery thing inside the mountain. There's a water drowning trap for monsters with item transfer thanks to the water current, and also an underground wheat and reeds farm that actually works (Tons of torches) so I never run out of bread and my crops aren't out in the open. The reeds don't serve much purpose now (I made a few bookshelves) but I keep them so I can walk in them instead of risk trampling my wheat.

Completely fine. In fact that 25 blocks rule doesn't really even apply as long as it's in good taste. (well it might be a little more strict on the new world, depends on what Darked thinks)

As an example here's my castle and lacota's tree from the old world:

[SCREENSHOT]http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/8616/mc1t.jpg[/SCREENSHOT]

And I don't know why anaemic's complaining about crazy stuff not being allowed as he had this underwater glass house...

Sorry for the dark images, this was taken in single player and I don't know how to control the time of day, ect.

All Darked is trying to do is prevent a bunch of lame stuff from being built like such:

[SCREENSHOT]http://bbsimg.ngfiles.com/15/19429000/ngbbs4a426f6c2b122.jpg[/SCREENSHOT]

Sorry, this was the best I could find on google, but trust me his first world was 1000x worse than this with floating platforms and glass towers and 1-block-wide lines of cobble going everywhere right in the view of the spawn zone.

Meh.

How do you install a texture mod? Yours looks like a pretty good one and doesn't seem to have any bugs (Which it seems pretty much every one has but yours.)

Actually I went ahead and removed that rule altogether. Feel free to build any kind of tower you want. Just no 64-block-high 1-wide 'dirt sticks.' :D

Hey man, how do you get it to render from the opposite corner like above?

The program was updated.

To clarify; I redownloaded it and new features were added, but it's named as the same version. :con:

Also, you might have been able to do that before, there might be a "rotate" and a "flip" check box like there is now.

Hopefully buying the full version once I get my laptop in a week or two  I'll probably start up some multiplayer once I do so. Single player isn't bad, but I much prefer multiplayer so I can see other peoples creations to inspire me to do things.

Bugs? That's weird, all it's doing is replacing textures. Just follow the ReadMe.
A lot of texture mods apparently have a bug where the fire and water animations display on dirt/grass and gold block textures as well and do not display where they should be. Yours doesn't seem to have that problem so thanks for the link ;)

I believe this problem arises when the texture pack is using 32x32 images, instead of the usual 16x16.

On a side note, the Painterly Pack is by far the coolest texture pack imo, as you can customise a bunch of stuff via the website and swap out the bits you don't like. I did have to edit the colour of tree trunks so it jives better with wood (I tend to use tree trunks a lot in my buildings) but other than that it's pretty great.

lmao I just changed the Gold Record music from the spooky "13" to KR-Rankin xD
It still plays 13 sometimes (Wondering why that is) but 50/50 it's Rankin's music.
Custom music for the jukebox yay!

Wow! I'm just kind of getting into the game but man!
Those large structures must take forever to build!
Resources just seem to take years to gather up.

It's good fun but it does lack some things. Tooltips would be nice or just knowing what things are without having to use a wiki would be cool. Also a way to smelt things quickly. It takes forever and a day to make anything.

P.s/ I've now staked a very small plot of land for myself on your server DarkEd.
You'll probably barely notice it. :)

Fair enough that most of the screenshots you've seen are made by people who use resources "cheats".

I'm currently on a pirated version, so I can totally relate to the resources thing. I'm on single player messing around till my new laptop comes, and it really does take ages to build anything. Currently I'm out of coal, so I've been digging around like crazy so I can make torches and actually go back to mining. Gotta finish my giant city walls
