Every time I consider it, I remember that the Tapatalk app costs money.

But, seeing as I'm not going to find time to rework our old mobile skins, I'll probably just find some time to install it.

It costs money if you buy the app. Supporting it on the forum is free. I am not sure if you need to buy anything in order to support it, but I don't think so.
