Various questions about Unreal, please help

  • Two Factor Authentication is now available on BeyondUnreal Forums. To configure it, visit your Profile and look for the "Two Step Verification" option on the left side. I have three questions about Unreal, if you'll indulge me:


1) I have Unreal Gold, and I want to start a new game, with no gamesaves, but there's no way I can find in the menus to delete the gamesaves, so I manually deleted the gamesaves from their folder, but the gamesave names still appear on the LOAD menu, even though when I now click on them I get a file not found message.

I know I can uninstall and reinstall the game, but is there an easier way of clearing the gamesave menu?




2) Also, are there any good add on levels (apart from return to Na Pali, which I already have, of course) for the game.




3) I've never given the multiplayer (against bots) a real try, as Unreal Tournament (the first UT, and still the best if you ask me, it's sequels didn't seem as good to me) is so brilliant, but I will give Unreal's multiplayer a try. Is there anything in particular I should try, or any levels/mods I should download for it? Any other suggestions about good things to add to the Unreal experience?

Check one of the .ini files in \Unreal\System\ - there might a list of file names there in one of the ini files. Edit them out (having made a backup of the file first!)

NaliCity is long dead by now, and it didn't support Unreal maps before going dead, too. The most comprehensible list of Unreal maps I've seen so far is here:

As for what to play, I'd say try playing co-op online, as well as other gametypes like Crystal Castles. The King of the Hill gametype is pretty interesting, too.

Thanks for the answers, both of you. And Iron Monkey, you were right, I edited user.ini (I think it was) and removed the save name text, and everything works fine now, cheers.
