Any good x4 game out there?

I've been playing some Endless Space to fix that craving I have ever since playing master of orion but the game, especially late endgame is very buggy and annoys the hell out of me.

What else could I play instead?

When I read the thread title, I was going to mention Endless Space. There's not much else out there, although Civ 5's Brave New World expansion arrives later this month.
